About 4% of Aruba’s COVID-19 cases remain active

A total of 25 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Aruba on Monday with 31 recoveries.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases has decreased to 272 of which 206 are residents and 66 non-residents. Out of Monday’s new cases 16 are residents and 9 non-residents.

Aruba has recorded a total of 7438 (7062 residents and 376 visitors) cases to date.

The total persons recovered from the disease is 7098 (6789 residents and 309 visitors) or 95.43% of total cases.

The total number of persons tested for COVID-19, including visitors, now stands at 95,819 of which 59,751 were persons tested at the airport.

The positivity rate among residents is about 27%. The number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 68 (67 residents and 1 non-resident).

Five persons are currently in intensive care.
