Jamaica reports 31 fresh COVID-19 deaths, the highest single-day in the Caribbean on Saturday

Jamaica led the Caribbean region with the most single-day deaths reported in over 24 hours on Saturday. The government’s official dashboard showed 31 deaths and 246 new infections.

The fatalities from COVID-19 now stand at 2,103 people on the island. Jamaica has seen a total of 87,232 COVID-19 infections since the start of the pandemic.

There are a total of 88 moderately ill patients, 44 severely ill patients and 25 critically ill patients.

Jamaica reported 29,267 active cases on Saturday.
